Alexander Ovechkin took to the ice for the first time after breaking his leg in the match with Utah. The footage shows his individual training at the Washington Capitals base.
Ovi was injured on November 19th. A version immediately appeared online that it was broken on purpose – so that he could not break Wayne Gretzky's record (894 goals). Doctors predicted: due to his age, he would be out of games for a month and a half, depending on his recovery. Despite this, he recovered after 13 days.
Now the Russian hockey legend has 868 goals. This is the second result in NHL history. Previously, the American Hockey League conducted a survey among association players – they asked whether they wanted Ovechkin to break the record and become the best. Almost 98% voted for the “yes” option.
