Prince Harry and Meghan Meet King Charles for First Time in Four Years

King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed Prince Harry, his wife Meghan, and their two children on Friday, marking their first family gathering in four years, according to reports from the British press.

The Press Association reported that Harry’s family traveled from an unspecified location in Europe to meet with his father and stepmother. The meeting took place at Highgrove House in south-west England and was described by Buckingham Palace as “a private family event,” as stated by the BBC.

Harry arrived in the UK on Monday for a series of charitable engagements, including events to promote the 2027 Invictus Games, which he founded for injured veterans.

Initially, it was believed that Meghan, their 7-year-old son Archie, and 5-year-old daughter Lilibet would not join the trip.

Harry and Meghan Relocated to the U.S. in 2020

The couple has been residing in California since 2020, and their children have not seen their grandfather since 2022.

On Tuesday, Harry and other celebrities lost a lawsuit against the British tabloid Daily Mail, which they accused of illegally gathering information and invading their privacy. A new court appearance is scheduled for July 29-30, where they may face significant legal costs.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 amid a growing rift with the Prince’s family, exacerbated by the release of his memoir, “Spare,” which included various allegations against them.

He later expressed a desire to reconcile with his father.

Harry has long blamed the media for the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997 while trying to evade paparazzi.
