After a conflict with the star of Olympiacos, a Greek basketball player complains that his brakes were cut!

After the tense clash with Olympiacos, Kolossos Rodou player Andreas Petropoulos (31) wrote on Instagram that his car's brakes had been cut, and then published another message in which he revealed that he did not assume the act was committed by people from the world of sports.

On Sunday, January 25, Olympiacos defeated Kolossos Rodou 98-85 after a great 3rd quarter for the Euroleague outfit.

The leaders of the victor were Sasha Vezenkov (23 points), Donta Hall (18 points, 8 rebounds), Tyson Ward (18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists), Tyler Dorsey (15 points) and Alec Peters (10 points).

On the other side, Chasson Randle (26 points, 6 assists) and Tevin Mack (22 points) stood out.

The duel in Rhodes was marked by an incident between Sasha Vezenkov (Olympiacos) and Andreas Petropoulos (Kolossos), with the score 77-63 for the guests. Upon their offensive action, Vezenkov pulled hard on Petropoulos and the Greek reacted and pushed the Bulgarian star.

Vezenkov lost his temper and hit Petropoulosbefore this conflict was stopped by the teammates of the two. The leader of Olympiacos was disqualified and sent to the locker room, while the defender of Kolossos was sanctioned with an unsportsmanlike foul.

Andreas Petropoulos: “There was a chance my girlfriend was driving the car”

After the game, Petropoulos posted an Instagram story in which he said his brakes had been cut.

Hopefully my car's brakes cut themselves… And for the record there was a chance my girlfriend was driving the car!!!“, wrote the 31-year-old player, quoted by BasketNews.

Later, he returned with a new message:

After my post, I clarify that I did not convey or suggest, directly or indirectly, any involvement of people in the world of sports. Any different interpretation does not reflect the intent or content of my statement.”

According to Basketballmaniacs, Petropoulos' car will be examined by a mechanic today, January 26, and if it is found that the brakes were intentionally cut, the basketball player is expected to take legal action.

After Sunday's match, Olympiacos remains atop the Greek league with a 15-0 record, while Kolossos Rodou, 4-11, is in 11th place.
