Layoffs at Nordea. These jobs are most at risk
The changes concern primarily the technological and operational teams serving the entire international Nordea group.
A representative of the company confirmed that the scale of reduction in Poland may reach 105 positions in three locations. Nordea has been operating on the Polish market since 2010 and currently employs over six thousand people. About half of them work in the Łódź center, which is one of the key IT hubs of the entire group.
According to information provided by employees, layoffs will not only apply to the youngest employees, but will also cover people with many years of experience, including managers. The company announces “comprehensive support”, but it is not known whether additional benefits are provided beyond the statutory severance pay.

Specialists emphasize that Nordea's decision is part of a broader trend on the labor market. More and more international companies are reducing employment in Poland, pointing to rising labor costs and transferring some processes to cheaper countries where the level of IT competences is systematically increasing.
