A resident of Krasnoyarsk gave scammers 349 thousand rubles from his and his mother’s savings, investing them in “shares” from a non-existent brokerage platform. The police opened a criminal case.

According to investigators, in December 2025, a 31-year-old man decided to make money on the stock exchange and began buying shares through an Internet platform. He did not check the reliability of the company, although there were already negative reviews and reports of fraudulent schemes online.

In early January, he tried to withdraw 260 thousand rubles from his account. To withdraw funds, the platform manager convinced him to connect to a certain “second-hand” service. As a result, the Krasnoyarsk resident provided the details of his mother’s bank card, which contained another 89 thousand rubles. After this, the manager stopped communicating.

Realizing that he had become a victim of scammers, the man contacted the police. Investigators opened a criminal case under the article of fraud on a large scale.
