Immediately after the University of Craiova – Botoșani 2-0, Ștefan Baiaram said he turned down an offer after returning from training camp in Antalya. The reason? He wants to take the Superliga title.
Baiaram declared that his main goal is to win the championship with Craiova University, only then will he think about a transfer abroad.
In the flash-interview, Ștefan also spoke about the nature of the injury that made him leave the field in the 64th minute of the match with FC Botoşani.
Ștefan Baiaram: “I had an offer, I spoke with the management to stay”
“I had a discussion with the management after the training camp, I had an offer, but I spoke with the management to stay. It's not the time to leave. I want to get the title, only then leave. The only objective is the title, if I felt that I had no chance to achieve my objective, I would leave“said Baiaram, at Prima Sport 1.
About the injury, he said: “It's sprained, that's how it was. I'm going to put a lot of ice. I'm going to talk to the doctor from Monday and he'll figure it out. After that duel, I landed on the left, I didn't put my foot well. I got a yellow card for protesting, I accepted that. There was no reason to whistle, it was a hand-to-hand duel.”
We are on a good path, I want to win the championship, in every match we try to get the most out of it. It's the best team since I've been in Craiova, everyone who enters the field helps us, we don't rely on one player, we're a team. I think we have the best team and we deserve to win the championship.
