NBC, citing local authorities, reported that the man who died on Saturday morning was most likely a white resident of the city, aged 37, who was a US citizen. Mayor of Minneapolis appeals to Trump
After another tragedy involving federal agents in the city, the mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, asked Donald Trump to end their mission.
What are the details of the Minneapolis shooting?
How many people died as a result of shootings involving federal agents?
How did the mayor of Minneapolis react to these events?
When was the last tragedy involving a federal agent?
— How many more citizens, how many Americans, must be killed or injured for this operation to end? Frey asked. The federal agent's previous victim was Renee Nicole Good, who died during the Jan. 7 riots.
Earlier, the US Department of Homeland Security stated that the agent who shot a man in Minneapolis that day fired the shots in self-defense and in fear for his life and that of other officers. It was noted that the services tried to disarm the suspected person, but – according to the department – he resisted aggressively.
Protesters gather at the site. Crowd control measures were used, the ministry said.
