Trump and Zelensky met on January 22 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. After the negotiations, the President of Ukraine said that documents related to the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war were “even more prepared.” In turn, Trump expressed hope that the war of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will soon end.
When asked by the media what Zelensky said at the meeting, the US President replied: “He said that he would like to make a deal. Parameters [возможного соглашения] everyone knows. These are not some new things. We are discussing things that have been discussed for six or seven months. And he arrived and said he wanted to make a deal.”
Trump said that Ukrainians live without heating at -20°C.
“I asked him: “How do they do it?” And he answered me. What they do to survive is simply amazing. This is not life,” the head of the White House said.
Speaking about the prospects for resolving the war, Trump said that he had many good meetings with Zelensky, but the war is not ending.
“You know, if you don't date, nothing will happen. So we date. […] Let's see what happens,” the US President said.
In his opinion, illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin also wants to make a deal.
