“Putin and Zelensky want an agreement.” Trump on peace negotiations

During the return flight from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, journalists asked Trump about the trilateral talks between the US, Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi scheduled for the next few days.
— Every time we meet, it's good. If no one meets, nothing will happen. For the first three years, no one dated. “Nobody was dating under (Joe) Biden,” Trump replied. He also admitted that he had a very good conversation with Zelensky that day.
What concessions are Russia and Ukraine making?
What does Donald Trump think about the trilateral talks?
Why does Trump say he works for Europe?
What are the current conditions in Ukraine?
When asked what concessions Russia was making, he replied that “everyone is making concessions to end this.”
“Both Putin and Zelensky want to reach an agreement”
— I do this more for Europe than for myself. First and foremost, I do this to save lives. Secondly, I am doing it for Europe. I don't do it much for the US because it doesn't concern us much, he added.
He assessed that both Putin and Zelensky want to reach an agreement. When asked what made him think the two were ready to make a deal, Trump replied that “there are no predictions and nothing has changed.”
He drew attention to the difficult living conditions of people in Ukraine, where there are severe frosts. He noted that people live in cold, without heating. This was supposed to be one of the topics of his Thursday conversation with Zelensky.
