Panic gripped the residents of a block of flats in Slobozia, Friday afternoon, after a fire broke out in an apartment.

On Friday afternoon, an apartment in the municipality of Slobozia was engulfed in flames, causing panic among the tenants of the block. To extinguish the fire, two special fire trucks, a mechanical ladder truck and a SAJ Ialomita crew were mobilized, according to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Ialomita.
“At this moment, the Slobozia Fire Department intervenes to extinguish a fire at an apartment in the municipality of Slobozia. 2 special fire engines, a mechanical ladder truck and an ambulance intervene on the scene”, transmitted ISU Ialomita.
Fortunately, in the meantime, the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire before it spread to other homes and reported that all 19 evacuated tenants were safely removed from the block and there are no victims.
