US President Donald Trump inaugurated the Peace Council he established on Thursday in Davos, Switzerland. Member states are to be elected by Trump to three-year terms unless they pay more than $1 billion in cash for permanent membership. Trump is to become president for life with almost unlimited powers.

The US president invited dozens of world leaders to the body, including Vladimir Putin. So far, the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates have officially accepted the offer. The Kremlin still hasn't made a decision.

The leaders invited to the Peace Council also included the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, who took part in the signing ceremony of the act establishing the Council, but did not sign it.
