Ukraine is preparing for the reform of vocational education: the new draft law provides for more autonomy for colleges and dual education with the participation of business. But in Dnipro, such a model is already working – thanks to the cooperation of Viktor Pinchuk's Interpipe company, the city and educational institutions.
Dual education is a model that has long been successfully used in European countries. Students simultaneously acquire knowledge in schools and undergo paid internships at enterprises. This model allows graduates to get a diploma and 2-3 years of real work experience immediately after training, but without modernization of the process, it is impossible.

Since 2019, “Interpipe” has been financing the purchase of modern machines for educational institutions, the creation of mechatronics laboratories, and the updating of educational programs.
The Ministry of Education positively evaluates the practical experience of “Interpipe”. The case of Dnipro demonstrates: if business is actively involved in education, the country receives ready specialists already at the start of their careers.
