Tourists without 1 million rubles may not be allowed into Phuket
This decision was made by the provincial governor of Thailand, Sophon Suwannara, as part of the fight against “excessive tourism” in the territory entrusted to him.

The influx of foreigners has led to a decrease in the number of solvent travelers. This not only negatively affects the lives of local citizens, but also creates a negative background for wealthier tourists.

Now it is planned to check the financial condition of tourists who are going to relax in Phuket.
If their accounts contain less than 300 thousand baht (approximately 870 thousand rubles), they will be denied entry.
Suvannara has already sent a corresponding bill to the government for consideration.
