According to information from “Rzeczpospolita”, Szymon Hołownia did not participate in Monday's National Council. Earlier, in an official statement, he announced that he would hand over the fate of the party to the politicians who won in the first round – Paulina Hennig-Kloska and Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. Hołownia suggested publicly that if necessary, he was ready to run in the repeated elections, but the Council decided to hold only the second round.
Poland 2050 chooses a leader. What about Szymon Hołownia?
Unofficially, it is known that Hołownia's return to the fight for the chairmanship was unlikely. Even if the entire electoral procedure were repeated, he would not be sure of victory.
On Monday, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz proposed to Paulina Hennig-Kloska to jointly lead the party, following the example of the Czarzasty-Biedroń duo in the New Left. Hennig-Kloska rejected this proposal, being the clear favorite of the repeated vote.

Will Paulina Hennig-Kloska become deputy prime minister?
The decision of the National Council is widely perceived as a success for Hennig-Kloska and her supporters. She will most likely also receive the support of other candidates from the first round – Joanna Mucha and Ryszard Petru. She was also officially supported by MEP Michał Kobosko, who withdrew from participating in the elections.
According to “Rzeczpospolita”, Paulina Hennig-Kloska should not have any difficulties in reaching an agreement with Donald Tusk, both regarding the position of deputy prime minister by the representative of Poland 2050, as well as subsequent arrangements regarding places on the joint electoral list with the Civic Coalition for herself and her allies.
