Meteorologists published on Tuesday, January 20, the weather forecast for the next four weeks, more precisely the period from January 19 to February 16.

According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), winter continues with temperatures generally close to or slightly above or below normal for the period.

Week 19.01.2026 – 26.01.2026

Temperatures will be below normal for this week in the central and northeastern regions, as well as in the extreme northwest and southwest of the country, and will otherwise be close to normal.

The amount of precipitation will be deficient in the western, northern, central and southwestern regions, but also locally surplus in the southeastern extremity of the country, and otherwise it will be close to normal.

Week of 26.01.2026 – 02.02.2026

Average temperatures will be higher than normal for this range across the country.

Precipitation amounts will be excess in the extra-Carpathian regions, and in the rest they will be generally close to normal.

Week 02/02/2026 – 02/09/2026

The average air temperature will be slightly higher than normal for this period in most of the country, but especially in the mountainous areas.

The amount of precipitation will have a slightly excess tendency in the extra-Carpathian regions, and in the rest it will be close to normal.

Week 02/09/2026 – 02/16/2026

Temperature averages will be generally close to typical for this week across most of the country, possibly slightly lower in the far north-east.

Precipitation amounts will be slightly excessive in most regions, but especially in the southern ones.
