The bank's supervisory board currently consists of 11 members. Pursuant to the statute of PKO BP, the bank's supervisory board may consist of five to thirteen members appointed for a joint three-year term of office. The number of members of the supervisory board is determined by the State Treasury.
Grzegorz Mazurek is a professor of economics, an academic manager, and an expert in the field of digital transformation and management – we read on the PKO BP website.
He is also the rector of the Kozminski University in Warsaw – one of the highest-ranked business schools in Europe, which is triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA and is present in the Financial Times rankings.
“He is a recognized scientist and author of numerous publications in the field of digital transformation and the impact of new technologies – including artificial intelligence – on business models and organizational management. His works have been published in renowned international journals, and he cooperates closely with the business community in the areas of strategic development and innovation,” we read further.
He also has many years of experience in management, institutional supervision and working in an international environment. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) and serves as vice-president of EFMD responsible for the Central and Eastern Europe region. He also participates in the work of international bodies related to the accreditation and quality of management education (including EQUIS).
In the past, he gained experience in the financial and technological sectors, including projects related to the development of electronic banking. In its activities, it combines scientific, strategic and practical perspectives, with particular emphasis on risk management, innovation and organizational governance.
