Construction of the last section of S8 near Wrocław is starting. 9 km for over PLN 380 million

GDDKiA emphasizes that the section between Łagiewniki and Niemcza is the last of seven stages of construction of a two-lane, two-lane expressway between Wrocław and Kłodzko, with a total length of nearly 80 km. The contract for its implementation was signed on Monday. In the first stage, the contractor – Budimex – will prepare design documentation and obtain a building permit. Only after this will construction work in the field begin. Completion of the works is expected in the second half of 2029.

In the future, we will use three lanes of the S8 expressway
The new 9.3 km long route is to run through the communes of Łagiewniki and Niemcza and will only partially be built on the former “trace” of DK8. According to GDDKiA, the planned route will be a continuation of the section of the Wrocław A8 Motorway Bypass and the S8 expressway. In the future, part of the road may be widened with a third lane. There will be space for this in the lane dividing the road.
“You know perfectly well how important the S8 road is for our region. The signing of the contract for the Łagiewniki Zachód-Niemcza section completes the preparation stage of this route to Bardo” – wrote Paweł Gancarz – Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship – on social media.

Now there is a chance that the last section of the mentioned route will be completed.
