In ZATO Zelenogorsk, a woman found money on the street and handed it over to law enforcement officers. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told the region about this.
A message from a local resident to the duty station was received in December 2025. The woman found three five-thousand-dollar bills in the area of house No. 2 on Parkovaya Street and decided to notify the police about it. She waited for the patrol service to arrive and handed over the money to them.
On the same day, information appeared on social networks that the 53-year-old Zelenogorsk woman had lost 15 thousand rubles. The citizen filed a corresponding statement with the Department of Internal Affairs.

“Local police officers carried out a set of verification measures: they established the circumstances and reasons for the loss, and together with bank employees they verified the time of issuance of funds. Only after a thorough check was it reliably established that the legal owner was the applicant,” the law enforcement officers said.
The head of the department of local police commissioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the ZATO Zelenogorsk, police lieutenant colonel Konstantin Nikonov, handed the lost funds to the woman.
Police officers express their gratitude to the citizen who discovered the money. The issue of its promotion is currently being decided.
