NordStar Airlines and VSK Insurance House have launched a cargo transportation insurance service

NordStar Airlines, together with VSK Insurance House, has launched a new service for shippers and cargo agents, “Cargo Insurance.”
Since the end of May 2026, the service has been available when booking a cargo capacity; it has become possible to add an insurance policy to the cargo transportation service in case of damage and loss of cargo and/or theft.
The first policy covers damage in the event of a violation of the integrity of the packaging with damage to the contents of the cargo, and also extends its coverage to cases of complete loss of the entire shipment or a shortage of several items, in the absence of the possibility of determining their location. Theft policy – protects against missing items and/or missing cargo contents, if the integrity of the packaging is damaged.
The service provides comprehensive protection for shipments and allows customers to choose the optimal insurance coverage option depending on the type and value of the cargo.
“NordStar Airlines annually transports up to 5,000 tons of cargo and mail to Russian cities. The list of transported goods includes food (including perishable goods), medical goods, flowers, equipment and much more. Registration of transportation is carried out with the help of a wide agent network of cargo agents, each of them has been tested for more than one year and has established itself as a reliable partner who is able to undertake a full range of services for paperwork, packaging, storage and delivery if necessary. All stages related to the actual dispatch on the aircraft are also carefully controlled and supported by the airline – from delivery on board to loading and mooring. The introduction of insurance services is the logical next step to improve the reliability of the cargo transportation process and compensate for possible risks caused by force majeure conditions, which neither the airline as a cargo carrier nor our cargo agents can influence.
