Rospotrebnadzor reminded about the dangers of swimming in winter. A sudden immersion in ice water is a serious stress for an unprepared body. A huge load is created on the heart, blood pressure rises sharply, and the pulse quickens.

Main risks:
• Vasospasm leads to heart attack, stroke, hypertensive crisis and other cardiovascular diseases
• Sudden changes in temperature can cause cardiac arrest.
• Hypothermia weakens the immunity of an unprepared organism, which leads to the development of various infections.

Therefore, such an “extreme” event is not suitable for everyone. Before swimming in ice water, you must objectively assess your health status and consult a doctor.

At the same time, believers need to prepare for visiting churches in severe frosts. Be sure to dress warmly, use thermal underwear, warm shoes, hats, scarves and mittens.
