The recent frost has increased the demand of suppliers, both local and from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, which has put pressure on the prices and volumes traded on the spot market operated by the Romanian Commodity Exchange, where records of this winter have been recorded, even though it is the weekend, with theoretical consumption lower than during the week, when non-domestic consumers also operate.

The average daily price of gas with delivery on Sunday rose to 213.15 lei/MWh (42 euros/MWh), the highest level of the last 7 uni. A quantity of 1.5 GWh was traded at a maximum price of the day of 231 lei/MWh).
