According to Tuesday's announcement from the Ministry of Development, the number of issued decisions increased by 16 percent year-on-year, and the declared value of investments increased by 40 percent. “In 2025, the Katowice SEZ – 101 issued the most decisions on support. However, the highest investment value and the number of new jobs were recorded in the Wałbrzych SEZ – PLN 4.37 billion and 778 new jobs,” the ministry said.

It also reported that over 3.6 thousand PLN was spent under the Polish Investment Zone (PSI) from September 2018 to December 31, 2025. decision on support for PLN 154.2 billion of the declared investment value and PLN 55.5 thousand new jobs. The Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański, who is also responsible for the Ministry of Energy and Technology, quoted in the announcement, said that the PSI results “best prove the good condition of the Polish economy.”

“Entrepreneurs will invest nearly PLN 22 billion in Poland under this instrument alone. The investments will contribute to the creation of over 3.6 thousand new jobs across the country. This is a real impulse for Poland's economic development,” said Domański.

The Ministry of Development added that in 2025, Polish micro, small and medium-sized enterprises obtained over 450 support decisions (71% of all decisions) for a total investment value of PLN 3.57 billion (16% of the investment value) with a declaration of creating over 900 new jobs (26% of new jobs). “Since the beginning of PSI's operation, Polish micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs have obtained 2.3 thousand support decisions (64% of all) for a total investment value of PLN 24 billion (16% of the value of investments in PSI) and declared the creation of over 10,000 new jobs (18% of all new jobs under PSI),” the ministry said.

The Polish Investment Zone is a form of support for entrepreneurs that gives the opportunity to obtain relief for a new investment in the form of CIT/PIT exemption throughout Poland. The PSI regulations have been in force since 2018. Based on them, the whole of Poland is an economic zone, the only difference is the amount of relief that companies of different sizes can benefit from.

In order to benefit from tax exemption, you must obtain the so-called decision on support issued by the territorially appropriate Special Economic Zone. Poland is divided into 14 areas managed by SEZs. (PAP)
