By train for the winter break. PKP and Polregio are preparing more connections and new promotions
It has been known for years that Polish mountains are the most popular during the holidays, and Zakopane is always the most popular among them. However, the experience of previous seasons shows that large cities are also eagerly visited in winter.

The capital of Podhale is well connected with almost the entire country, and the trip can also be planned in a faster variant. Pendolino trains and selected express trains run to Zakopane, including: from Warsaw, Kashubia and Tricity. PKP Intercity also encourages weekend trips to Wisła, Żywiec and the Karkonosze Mountains.
A dense network of railway connections for winter holidays throughout Poland
During the holidays, 15 pairs of Pendolino trains and high-standard trains and 10 pairs of economic connections will run on the Warsaw-Tricity route.. Carrier it will also strengthen connections from Tricity to Central Pomerania. Additional trains will appear, among others: on the routes from Olsztyn to Warsaw, Tricity and Poznań, from Białystok to Olsztyn, Warsaw and Kraków and from Kielce to Wrocław.
Another interesting proposition is three pairs of trains to Vilnius. The capital of Lithuania will be reached by, among others: trains from Hańcza through Warsaw, Białystok, Suwałki and Kaunas, as well as IC Wigry from Szczecin and IC Jaćwing from Suwałki. The journey requires one change in Mockawa due to a change in track gauge.

Promotions from PKP and Polregio. For families, seniors and students
During winter break PKP Intercity draws attention to promotional offers valid throughout the year. One of them is “Cheaper with loved ones”, which allows you to get a 30% discount when traveling together for two to six people, provided that tickets are purchased no later than seven days before the planned departure.
The “Family Ticket” is also available on Pendolino trains, providing 30% off. discount for groups of two to five passengers, if they include at least one child under 16 years of age. You can also take advantage of offers on all domestic connections “Big Family” and “Senior Ticket”. The carrier also reminds that Children up to four years of age can travel in second class on domestic trains free of charge.
In turn, Polregio proposes tourist tickets valid from Friday evening to Monday morning, prices ranging from PLN 48 to PLN 59. Additional discounts are also available regionally, including: “Małopolska holiday ticket” for one zloty and a weekly ticket in the Opole region for less than PLN 20.
