The House adopted rules enabling a final vote on a $1.2 trillion spending package that includes funding for a number of federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. The voting itself lasted over an hour and was uncertain until the last minute. Ultimately, it was decided by the change of position of some Republican congressmen, who withdrew their opposition and supported the procedure.

The final vote on the budget is expected the same day. Its adoption is assessed as almost certain, which means that Congress is in the final stretch to end the crisis. The package is intended to provide financing for key areas of the state's functioning, including the army, administration and many federal agencies.

After the bill is passed and signed by President Donald Trump, the partial “shutdown” that has been going on since Friday after the expiration of the previous budget will end. This paralysis affected a significant part of federal institutions, leading to interruptions in the work of offices and uncertainty among public sector employees.
The adoption of the new budget package is intended to restore the financial stability of the administration and enable the return to normal functioning of the US government.
