A young Krasnoyarsk woman could not resist the temptation to steal things forgotten by a passenger in a taxi

In Krasnoyarsk, a taxi passenger committed the theft of expensive photographic equipment.

At the end of November last year, a 32-year-old Krasnoyarsk woman contacted the police. She said that she left a bag with a camera and accessories in the taxi. She also explained that she wrote about the incident to the carrier’s support service, but they replied that no one found her things. The total damage amounted to 215 thousand rubles.

The police established that the 19-year-old passenger, who was riding in a taxi immediately after the victim, took the money left in the car. She saw a bag in the back seat and assumed it might contain valuables that could be sold. Arriving home, she found in her bag a camera, a lens and a filter for it, as well as a hard drive and a memory card.

The criminal investigation has already been completed. The stolen property was confiscated from the thief and returned to its rightful owner. The accused was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
