The Romanian Basketball Federation announced on social media that the Final Four of the National Women's Basketball Cup will be played at the Multipurpose Hall in Sighetu Marmații, officially inaugurated today after rehabilitation.
Several officials, including Carmen Tocală, the president of the Romanian Basketball Federation, were present today at the inauguration event of the hall that will host the Final Four of the Cup on February 20-21.

The hall where “an elite event” will take place, as presented in the press release, was promoted as an arena that “offers the best conditions for sports competitions, both for athletes and spectators.
In reality, the pictures accompanying the release show a poor setting: three rows of wooden benches for spectators, with no seats. The arena appears to have a very small capacity, although according to FRB it would seat 1000 people. Indeed, the modernized parquet seems in perfect condition.

The Multipurpose Hall in Sighetu Marmatiei was officially inaugurated today after rehabilitation, works including the replacement of the playing surface and the installation of a modern electronic scoreboard, providing the best conditions for sports competitions, both for athletes and spectators. The works were carried out with the support of local authorities and the Romanian Basketball Federation, in record time, being ready to host important events.
The event was attended by Carmen Tocală, president of the Romanian Basketball Federation, Cătălin Burlacu, general manager, Claudiu Fometescu, CEO, together with mayor Vasile Moldovan and vice-mayor Orosz Krisztofer, as well as regional technical director George Oprietc.
