Employees of the Investigative Committee detained two suspects in the case of the mass death of babies in a maternity hospital in Novokuznetsk.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to transfer the criminal case into the death of newborns in the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital to the central office of the department. As part of the investigation, victims and witnesses were questioned, medical, personnel and other documentation of interest to the investigation, as well as electronic information carriers, were seized. Nine commissions of forensic medical examinations have been appointed.
