On behalf of the head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Vereshchagin, work was intensified in the city to eliminate as much as possible the consequences of the heavy snowfall that occurred on the night of January 13. The task is to quickly and thoroughly clean the streets before the onset of severe frosts.
If on Tuesday night about 60 units of equipment were involved in cleaning, then this night the number was almost doubled and the work hours of the teams were extended, and the routes included appeals from Krasnoyarsk residents. The mayor announced this on his social networks:
“Friends! Reading your comments about unclean roads and sidewalks, I instructed you to work on the issue of increasing the number of snow removal equipment and extending the work hours of crews at night. Road workers brought out 134 cars during the night and brought in equipment from third-party organizations. It is also important to remove snow from the roads because severe frosts are ahead.”
Sergei Vereshchagin personally traveled through several areas on both banks of the city, checked the operation of the harvesting equipment and shared the footage on his social networks.
The mayor also promised to “immerse himself in the work of road workers” in the near future: “It is important to understand the current regulations and what needs to be adjusted. Separately, I appeal to the management of the management company and the HOA: a month and a half before winter ends, some yards have never been cleaned. Don't forget your responsibility.”
