The return of the National Basketball League for Men (LNBM) began with some extremely spectacular games, incredible comebacks and overtime periods. However, the podium of the championship remained unchanged: CSM Oradea, CSO Voluntari and FC Argeș Basketball.

The second part of the regular season in the LNBM offered 6 games won by the hosts and only one in which the visitors prevailed. It's about CS Vâlcea 1924, which had no problems on CSM Galați's field and won 96-69.

CSM CSU Oradea also achieved a victory by score, 92-68, and provided the MVP of the 16th round. Canadian Kalif Young was close to a triple-double, collecting 14 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists and +34 efficiency.

The most spectacular duel of the round was the one between CSU Sibiu and FC Argeș Basketball. Pitesti started strong, dominated the first 25 minutes and led, at one point, by 26 points: 65-39.

What followed, however, was an incredible comeback by the Sibiu team and a commensurate fall of the opponents, and the dispute in Sala Transilvania ended with the victory of the hosts: 86-81.

CS Rapid București was also close to a significant reversal of the score, but CSM Târgu Mureș held on well and, thanks to the evolution of Szabolcs Santa (22 points, 11 rebounds)won 103-96.

SCM Timișoara continues to prove that it is the most fit group in LNBM and beat SCM U Craiova by 21 points, 85-64, while CSA Steaua Sharks Bucharest proved once again that it deserves the title of “revelation” of the championship.

Andrei Mandache's team returned, at home, against Corona Brașov and, after two “triples” by Alin Andries, sent the match into overtime. After two extra periods and another basket by Andries, Steaua triumphed 105-101.
