Pakistan on Sunday condemned Donald Trump's attacks on Iran on Sunday, one day after Islamabad announced that he would propose the US President for the Nobel Peace Prize, News.ro reports Reuters.

Pakistan said Trump's decision to bomb Iranian nuclear installations violates international law and that diplomacy is the only way to resolve the crisis in Iran.

“The unprecedented escalation of tensions and violence, caused by continuous aggression against Iran, is deeply worrying. Any escalation of tensions will have serious consequences for the region and beyond,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said.

Also, on Sunday, Prime Minister Pakistani Shehbaz Sharif called Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and “sent Pakistan's conviction by US attacks,” according to a Pakistani leader statement.

In Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, thousands of people marched in protest against US and Israel's attacks.

A large American flag with Trump's image was placed on the road so that the demonstrators could step on it. The protesters chanted slogans against America, Israel and India, the regional enemy of Pakistan.

On Saturday, Pakistan announced that he is nominating Trump as “a true pacifier” for his role in concluding the conflict with India, which took place last month.
