Father and son arrested after kidnapping a 19-year-old girl. The victim was forcibly removed from a taxi that they blocked in traffic
Two men from Merisani commune, father and son, were detained after kidnapping a 19-year-old young woman, the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Argeş announced on Wednesday.

The police intervened, a day ago, after a taxi driver called 112 to report an incident during a ride.
“From the first checks, it emerged that the 61-year-old man, as a taxi driver, while traveling on Serelor street in Bascov, carrying a passenger, was allegedly blocked in traffic by another vehicle, from which two unknown men got out, who displayed aggressive behavior. They allegedly caused damage to the car and disturbed public order and peace, and later one of the persons took the passenger out from the taxi and would have put her, against her will, in the car they were traveling in, leaving the scene of the crime”it is stated in a press release from IPJ Argeş, sent to Agerpres.
Following the investigations, the police identified the two men, 56 and 21 years old, father and son, both from Merişani commune, as well as the 19-year-old victim, the young man's concubine. They were taken to the headquarters of the Pitesti Municipality Police, for investigations.
“The Pitesti criminal investigation police have ordered the two men to be detained for 24 hours, to be presented to the prosecutor's office with a proposal to take a preventive measure”it is also mentioned in the press release.
The researches are continued in a file regarding the commission of the crimes of illegal deprivation of liberty, threat, family violence and disturbance of public order and peace, under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Pitesti Court.
