Andrei Nicolescu, the president of Dinamo, announced what will be the biggest challenge in 2026 for the club's shareholders. After the arrival of Red&White, the club recovered from a financial point of view, but it still has some steps to go to break even.
The issue of paying wages and license are matters of the past for supporters, and Dinamo wants to go to the next level financially as well.
Nicolescu admitted that Dinamo is in a rather large deficit compared to the calculations that were made at the beginning of 2025. In addition, the loss in the play-offs was 600,000 euros, taking into account the reduced assistance at home matches.
Deficit of 4 million euros at Dinamo: “A year assumed by shareholders”
Dinamo's president claims that the club's shareholders have assumed these payments, but the deficit is greater compared to the initial forecast.
It would be 4 million euros, according to Andrei Nicolescu.
“For 2026, the biggest challenge will be to reach our 2025 limit, which I consider very high, and at the same time be able to, financially, break even, because we are in a balance sheet and in a fairly large deficit compared to what we had forecast at the beginning of the year.
It's a year assumed by shareholders, somehow, but the deficit is larger than forecast. Because it was the exit from insolvency, transfers, investments.
In the play-off we had a loss of 600,000 euros, on the three home matches, we predicted that we would have more assistance. The deficit is about 4 million, if not better, we'll seeNicolescu said to 48TV.
