The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued level II hydrological warnings in the province. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, where the warning level may be exceeded locally. Level II warnings have been maintained on the coast. There, the Institute also warns about a storm.


IMWM issued a level II hydrological warning, which means increases in water levels up to the high water zone and locally above the warning levels.
The warning applies to the lower section of the Wel River (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), where the probability of an increase in water levels is 80%. The alert is valid until 12 on Monday (January 12).
Level II warnings also remain valid in the Szczecin Lagoon (Oder from Gryfino to the river mouth), the West Coast, the South Baltic Sea and the Świna Strait (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) and the South-Eastern Baltic Sea, Martwa Wisła and the Vistula Mouth (Pomeranian Voivodeship).
As reported by the Press Department of the City Hall in Gdańsk, IMWM issued a second degree storm warning for the eastern part of the coastal zone. The forecast is for a north wind of 6-7 degrees on the Beaufort scale, with gusts up to 8 degrees. The alert will remain active until 22 on Sunday.
Further increases and fluctuations in water levels are expected there in the high water zone and above warning levels. Locally, it is possible to reach alarm states. The alerts are valid until Monday noon. (PAP)
