In India, more than a million people attended an air show, sparking a stampede that killed and injured dozens of people.
The tragedy occurred at an event dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force. At the end of the show, there was chaos and a stampede at the exit, resulting in 5 deaths and 40 spectators being injured and hospitalized.
A total of 1.2 million spectators gathered on the two-kilometer Marina Beach, but the authorities and organizers were not prepared for such an influx of people. Footage from a nearby train station shows that there was also a stampede there, with about 300,000 people gathered there.
