Russia is spreading a fake about the forced return of Ukrainians from the EU – CPD

According to the CPD, a corresponding fake video, disguised as material from a Western publication, is being distributed on social networks.

To add verisimilitude, the video used real footage from a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” in Paris on January 6, on which a fictitious text was superimposed, the CPD indicated.

This information is not true. There are no official statements, decisions or agreements between Ukraine and the EU countries on the “forced return of 40 thousand people in two months,” as well as such materials in Western media, the report says.

The center emphasized that the spread of such fakes is part of a Russian information operation aimed at intimidating Ukrainians abroad, discrediting European partners and artificially escalating tension in relations between Ukraine and the EU.
