Nicușor Bancu (33 years old), the captain of the University of Craiova, a player who has been developing non-stop in blue and white since 2014, since Olten's promotion to the first stage of Romanian football, is no longer thinking about leaving.

Although in the summer he said that he was inevitably thinking of a move abroad, somehow having in mind the financial stability of the family a few years before his retirement, the legend of Olten took his mind from a transfer and from the training camp in Antalya conveyed that he does not even want to leave the team, with which he is fighting for the title this season.

Nicușor Bancu changed his mind and no longer wants to leave Craiova

“(it is not announced that you can leave the University of Craiova) To me it's like news that the snow is coming. It's normal, but I don't expect to leave anymore. I don't even want to leave. Maybe it will happen, but I'm thinking that I won't go anymore. I will stay here and give everything for this team”the Olten captain sent from the training camp in Antalya, where Craiova is revving its engines for the second part of the season.

For more than a decade, since playing in blue and white, Bancu has collected 417 matches in Craiova, 30 goals and 62 decisive assists. Three trophies are added to them, two Romanian Cups (2018, 2021) and a Super Cup (2021).

It doesn't matter where I would like to go. Somewhere to be good for my family too. At my age, I need to go somewhere where I can earn well because I have very little left to play. It's hard to follow Mitriță's example and take the money he takes. He is a striker and strikers are paid much better.

I think it might be time for a transfer. If it doesn't happen now… it's probably the last train. I really want to take the plunge myself. Many have gone and I would like to see what it is like
