A business process specialist explains how to spend 90% less energy at work.
Remember:
1️⃣ 😶 Never do tasks right away – let the task “settle.” It is quite possible that it will be cancelled;
2️⃣ 😶 Forget about the feeling of beauty. Just do it according to the specifications, even if it contradicts common sense. Any manifestation of self-will will lead to endless edits and the same shitty result;
3️⃣ 😶 Initiative fucks the initiator. If there is a task for you, you will be busy anyway. But if not, the worst thing you can do is take the initiative. In such a case, you will either do the work of another person, or something that with a 99% probability will never be useful;
4️⃣ 😶 Don't overestimate your importance. Convincing you that you are the only competent person in any matter means the opportunity to endlessly abuse you: “Today we need to stay late and overwork, because who else if not you?” “On vacation, you need to check your work email. What if what happens?” Just remember: you are replaceable, and that's good. The company somehow worked before you;
5️⃣ 😶 Find the right balance between delegation and autonomy. Delegation is, of course, wonderful, but only when everyone works harmoniously and understands each other. This is most likely not the case at your company. Therefore, any non-routine little thing that you can do yourself at the moment, do it yourself. This will save a lot of energy on explanations, coordination, unnecessary calls and edits;
6️⃣ 😶 And, of course, learn to say no.
