Slovenian jumper Domen Prevc (26) won the Four Trampoline Tour for the first time in his career after winning the first two rounds and finishing second in the other two, including the final one in Bischofshofen. In 2016, the trophy went to his older brother, Peter.

Slovenian Domain Prev captured his first Golden Eagle trophy as winner of the Four Trampolines Tournament, but had to settle for second place in the fourth and final leg, won on Tuesday, January 6, at Bischofshofen by last year's champion, the Austrian Daniel Tschofenig.

Prevc won the first two stages, from Oberstdorf and Garmischbefore finishing second to Japan's Ren Nikaido, at Innsbruckon Sunday, January 4, and again on the last day of the traditional competition. He thus imitates his brother Peter (33 years old), who won the Four Trampolines Tournament in 2016.

The Slovenian, with a jump of 138 meters, had a small lead of 0.8 points over the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi after the first round of show jumping, and Tschofenig was nearly four points ahead in third place.

The Austrian overcame the Japanese jumper with a jump of 140.5 meters in the second round, and Prevc's 138.5 meter finish earned him 299.8 points, with Tschofenig scoring a total of 303.9 points and Kobayashi rounding out the podium.

Domen Prevc: “It's a childhood dream that has come true”

Reigning champion Daniel Tschofenig handed the trophy to Prevc, who also holds a comfortable lead in the mid-season World Cup standings by 388 points over Kobayashi in his bid for a first overall title.

The final jump wasn't ideal, but second place was more than enough for the Golden Eagle in the end“, Prevc told TV Slovenia.

“To be honest, after the performance, the first thing I thought about was that I could have done the final jump better,” he added.

It's a special moment for me. It has been ten years since Peter won the Golden Eagle. Now the trophy is in my hands. I am overwhelmed with emotions, I feel incredible, blessed. It's all come together now and it's sensational that I hit my best form at the Four Trampoline Tournament. The trophy is the result of hard work and dedication. It's a childhood dream come true“, emphasized Prevc.

Prevc won the general classification with 42.3 points ahead of Austrian Jan Horl, and another Austrian, Stephan Embacher, took third place.

The Slovenian, double world champion in 2025, in individual and team events, and silver medalist in mixed teams, will participate in next month's Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics as the favorite, and his sister, Nikadominates the women's race with a second straight win at Villach on Tuesday that gave her a 100-point lead in the overall standings.
