To check the quality of gold jewelry, you can use a glass of water – for the experiment, just dip the gold in water. If it is real, it will immediately go to the bottom. If the product floats or sinks slowly, this may indicate an alloy containing impurities.
You can also tap the jewelry on a metal surface. If the sound is clear, long and clear, then the decoration is genuine. Otherwise, we are talking about an alloy or a fake.
