The document also includes aid for Kiev. “The coalition is committed to continuing key long-term military assistance and armaments to the Ukrainian army to ensure their continued operational capability as they remain the first line of defense and deterrence,” the authors point out.
As part of the guarantee, the allied countries agreed to create an “international force for Ukraine” by willing countries. This was previously announced by Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer. Together with Volodymyr Zelensky, they signed a declaration on the deployment of international armed forces in Ukraine after the end of the war. “We are ready to send soldiers the day after the ceasefire,” the French president emphasized at the conference.
Allies will continue to cooperate with Ukraine. “Joint defense production”
The “Coalition of the Willing” also agreed to finalize commitments outlining an approach to supporting Ukraine and restoring peace and security in the event of a future armed attack by Russia. “These commitments may include the use of military capabilities, intelligence and logistical support, diplomatic initiatives, and the adoption of additional sanctions,” we read.
“We agreed to continue developing and deepening mutually beneficial defense cooperation with Ukraine, including: training, joint defense industrial production, including using appropriate European instruments, and intelligence cooperation,” reads the last point of the Paris Declaration.
