The club from Zăvoi presented the situation of the athlete on its Facebook page, in the context of the numerous rumors that have appeared recently.

“Taking into account the current situation of our athlete and the emotion created on online platforms regarding the situation of her contract, which will come to an end in this competitive season, we would like to inform the public opinion of the following clarifications:

Without a doubt, Rebeca is one of the most professional and talented players in Romanian handball, being highly appreciated by the SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea family. The club's management has expressed its desire to continue working with Rebeca since the beginning of this season. However, it must be understood that the final decision belongs to the athlete, and this must be respected.

After three years of being active in our jersey, Rebeca will go to another team from the next competitive season. We understand everyone's attachment to Rebeca and share the emotions caused by this change. At the same time, we emphasize that the relationship between the club and the athlete is based on respect, understanding and professionalism, and, on this occasion, we want to thank her for her contribution to the team and our community.

We are proud that under the colors of our club, probably the most promising athlete in Romania evolved, but the door at SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea will always remain open for her. Moreover, Rebeca will always have an audience at Râmnicu Vâlcea that respects and supports her”, the SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea club said.

Rebeca Necula also reacted

And the player gave a first reaction regarding her situation, in the context in which she wanted to accept a new challenge from the upcoming competitive season.

There has been a lot of misinformation around this time and I want to clear it up. It was a difficult and important choice for me, and therefore I needed a longer period of thought. During this time I did not promise more than I did.

Indeed, there were several discussions with the management of the club, but I chose a new chapter for my career. I played at Vâlcea with my heart and I will do so until the end of the contract, I assure you of this. I want to thank the SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea club for the trust it gave me during the three years I played here.

I also thank the public for the sympathy and love with which they surrounded me, I always felt the support of the fans. Good luck to handball from Vâlcea!
