Reece James (26), Chelsea's right-back and captain, has signed a new long-term contract with the English side.
Chelsea announced on Friday the extension of the contract with captain Reece James. The England international is now tied to the London club until 2032.
Reece James has an impressive record at Chelsea
Trained in Chelsea's youth academies, Reece James has become one of the iconic figures of the London club, where he wears the captain's armband. He has collected more than 200 matches and has a Club World Championship, a Champions League, a Conference League and a European Super Cup in his record.
“I'm over the moon to have extended my contract. Chelsea means a lot to me. I've always said I want to spend my best years here. I hope we lift many more trophies together in the years to come,” Reece James told the club's media channels.
Sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart emphasized the importance of extending the England international's contract: “On behalf of the board and everyone connected with Chelsea, it is a proud moment for all of us to see Reece extend his contract.

This season, Reece James has collected 35 games, two goals and six assists.
