“It's a shame! He's won as many trophies as some French fries”

Dan Nistor, the midfielder from Cluj University, spoke openly after the defeat suffered in the friendly with Fatih Karagumruk, score 1-2, commenting on both the fight for the play-off and the delicate situation of Ciprian Deac at CFR Cluj.

The Transylvanian veteran declared himself deeply affected by the decision of the management in Gruia, which left Deac out of the training camp in Spain, telling him that he is free to look for another team.

Dan Nistor, about Deac's situation: “It's a humiliation. Today you're good, tomorrow you're a rag”

The Transylvanian midfielder did not hide his revolt when he spoke about the midfielder at the big rival, CFR:

“I'm sorry about what's happening to Deac, especially since we're good friends too. He's got a huge career behind him. It's humbling, that's the right word. He won as many trophies as some French fries. He took the team to the Champions League, the Europa League and many other important competitions.”

The “red caps” midfielder also spoke about the lack of gratitude in Romanian football:

Today you're good, tomorrow you're a rag, as they say. crappy. Unfortunately, there is not much gratitude in our country. In other parts it still exists. I hope we change as people, because it seems like as the years go by, we get worse and worse.”

Nistor, realistic before the end of the season: “It is the hardest battle for the play-offs”

Dan Nistor also analyzed the chances of the University of Cluj to catch the play-off:

We want, at least, to enter the play-offs, like last year, and make a good figure. Why not, if we're lucky, qualify for the European Cups as well.”

However, the Transylvanian veteran warns that the fight is extremely tough:

I think it's the toughest fight for the play-offs in recent years. There are still nine finals and a lot can happen. If we stay injury free and all the players are fit, I think things will look very good for us.”
