Rapid won the derby with Dinamo last night, score 3-2, thanks to the successes of Grameni, Petrila and Vulturar, for the “dogs” scoring Danny Armstrong, from the penalty spot, and Cătălin Cîrjan. The result ensures the first position for the Giulești team, after the inaugural stage of the play-off.
GSP consulted the Wyscout report of the match and highlights two players who performed below expectations: Andrei Borza, on the hosts' side, and Alexandru Pop, the top of Dynamo.
Borza, problems with Musi. Dinamo is waiting for a striker
In the Rapid camp, Andrei Borza had a complicated match on the left flank. The defender was involved in many duels, winning 15 out of 25 (60%), including 7 out of 11 defensive ones (64%), but the start of the game belonged to him in a negative way. In the 9th minute, Borza committed the penalty from which Dinamo opened the scoring, after fouling Alexandru Musi in the box, and the shot from 11 meters was converted by Danny Armstrong.
The problems for Borza continued after the break: at the beginning of the second half, he was slightly overtaken by the same Musi, who decisively passed to Cătălin Cîrjan for the 2-1 goal.
Statistically, his performance fluctuated. Borza managed only 29 passes out of 51 attemptswhich means an accuracy of 57%, a low percentage for a full-back, and offensively the contribution was minimal, with only one shot (xG 0.01) and no accurate crosses or successful dribbles.
In addition, he lost the ball 10 times in his own half. The Wyscout report also shows that his area was a sensitive one for Rapid: on the left flank of the Giulești, the sector defended by Borza, Dinamo accumulated approximately 0.25 xG (17% of the total offensive danger), one of the sectors from which the visitors generated dangerous phases.
It remains to be seen whether last night's lackluster performance will affect his chances of being in the men's squad for the tie with Turkey in 11 days' time, given that his performances have been good to very good for the rest of the season.

At Dinamo, Alexandru Pop had little impact offensivelyin a context where the team is still waiting for the debut of George Pușcaș, not completely restored, and Karamoko is missing from the team.

The striker had few moments of involvement in the game: he sent only one anemic shot, without catching the space of the goal, with an xG of only 0.01and made a modest contribution in the build-up with 12 accurate passes out of 34 attempted (35%).
Pop also had just 34 touches of the ball, a low number for a centre-forward in a game where Dinamo tried to build long spells of possession. Even so, the striker remains a player who has delivered highlights for Zeljko Kopic's side this season: scored three decisive goals in the Superliga, all coming at the end of the match, and also managed the goal of Dinamo's qualification in the semi-finals of the Romanian Cup.

The marks awarded by GSP to the two in the Giulesti derby:
-
Andrei Borza – grade 4. He arrived late to the duel with Musi in the 5th minute, fouled the Dynamo player and committed a penalty, granted with the help of VAR. Dynamo opened the scoring quickly, due to his negligence. Easily dribbled by Musi and at Dynamo's 2nd goal. He got the elimination of Duțu.
-
Alexandru Pop – grade 5. Fierce, but without achievements, except for one shot wide at the start of the game.
The marks awarded to all players in Rapid – Dinamo. What a qualification Istvan Kovacs received
