“You can see the value of the players” » What does he say about a possible departure from Unirea Slobozia

Andrei Prepelita (40 years old), the coach of Unirii Slobozia, offered several statements at the team meeting this evening.
He addressed several topics, including the new arrivals from the team, the return to the stadium in Slobozia, but also the fight for the title in the Super League.
VIDEO. Andrei Prepelita: “That's why we chose not to do camp in Turkey”
“We didn't have such a long holiday that we miss football, but we can't help it. We are ready. We had a tougher period towards the end of the year, but the victory with Metaloglobus gave us a good tone and we hope to return first of all to Slobozia, to be well and to strengthen ourselves. We have seen what problems we have and we hope to solve them in this period.
Alex Albu and Teodor Lungu are two experienced, good footballers, they hope to integrate as soon as possible and help us. We still have 1-2 players we are tracking. During the winter period, not many changes are made, but we will see.”
Unirea Slobozia will hold the training camp in Mogoșoaia, and Andrei Prepelita explained the reason. He also spoke about the difficult period his team went through, before the competitive break.
“The climate in recent years has not been so harsh at the beginning of January. It is a short period, and if we had chosen to go outside, given the schedule, we would have returned on the 13th or 14th, being a busy period for the players. That is why we chose not to do a training camp in Turkey. We will have 8 days here, in which we will play 2 friendly games. With Câmpulung and Oțelul Galati.”
It was a good start to the season, after many defeats in the limit we also had bad luck, but I want to see the good side of what happened. There was never a moment when I wanted to give up.
Even though we started the championship and were in the area of the first 6 teams, we know the objective we have. We believe we have a good group, a group that can be improved, and I have confidence in achieving the objective. The way the championship looks, we are not in a relegating place. Anything can happen. We don't give up and we want to win every game.“
The coach of Unirii Slobozia wants the team to return to their own stadium.
“We don't know when we will return to Slobozia. I focused a lot on getting things right from a sporting point of view, but we are under pressure. I hope to return to Slobozia as soon as possible, to have a match atmosphere at home. It's not nice to play with 50-100 spectators.”

He also had a few words to say about the fight for the Superliga title. He believes that FCSB, his former team, can return to the fight for a third consecutive title.
“The system allows everyone to have a shot at the title. FCSB had a poorer spell but the value of the players shows. From my point of view they will fight for the title.“
