Recently installed as a selector, Gheorghe Hagi begins to shape his team behind the scenes. Without an official announcement from the FRF, “The King” has already brought his trusted men from the Lighthouse and produced the first important changes in the national staff.
Gheorghe Hagi (61 years old) was installed ten days ago as the national team selector, but since that moment, the FRF has not officially and publicly communicated the new staff of the former boss from Farul.
From the information that GSP.RO has, Gică Hagi imposed on himself the people he worked with at Farul and whom he wanted to bring under his command to the first representative team.

Robert Hodorogea (31 years old) also joins Hagi in the national team. With almost 100 matches in the Super League, Hodorogea will take care of the players' physical training when they arrive at the Mogoșoaia Football Center.
He takes the place of Cristian Dragotă (CFR Cluj). At this moment, the post of Darius Hîmpea, also as a physical trainer, is up in the air, as he has not been informed by the FRF management if he will continue in Hagi's new mandate.

If new people came under the tricolor, others left after Mircea Lucescu's mandate expired. Second coach Florin Constantinovici and goalkeeping coach Leontin Toader were no longer kept in the current team.

At this moment, it remains to be seen if Andrei Butnaras, the second analyst of the national team, will be retained. He had been brought by Mircea Lucescu to the national team, after they had collaborated in the past at Dinamo Kiev.
