I cook jacket potatoes in 7 minutes without steam, smell or pan – I learned a trick from my grandmother

If you need to quickly cook jacket potatoes for a salad, breakfast or side dish, but don’t want to stand at the stove for 30 minutes, there is a simple and proven method. It does not require water, does not stain dishes, and does not create a cloud of steam in the kitchen.

You will need:

Jacket potatoes – 2–3 pcs.
Water – 2-3 tbsp. l.
Paper towel or cotton napkin
Microwave

How to cook:

  • Wash the potatoes, do not peel the skins.
  • Dampen a paper towel or cloth and wring it out lightly.
  • Wrap each tuber in a wet napkin.
  • Place the packages in the microwave without the bag.
  • Cook on high for 6-8 minutes.
  • Let stand for 2 minutes. The potatoes will cook and become even softer.
  • Unfold and use. The peel can be easily removed if necessary.

This method is especially good for even cooking, since all the tubers are heated equally.

Bon appetit!
