Exactly one year since he became Dinamo's footballerAlexandru Pop, 25 years old, explains how this period matured him and how he was able to mentally manage the transition to one of the most important clubs in Romania. What does he say about the competition in the 'Dogs' offense?
More reserved lately, Dinamo's central striker made his calculations for 2026 in an intervention on “Henri Coandă”, on the day the red-whites took off for Antalya. Alex Pop spoke openly about the fight for the title, the goals set in the new year, also commenting on the situation in the “dogs” attack, at a time when Zeljko Kopic is looking to strengthen that post.
With achievements below expectations tailored around him at the time of his arrival at Dinamo, Alex Pop admits that 2025 has been a challenging year as far as he is concerned.

“It was a year with everything, with ups and downs, a year from which I learned quite a lot and which hardened me, strengthened me mentally. I look confidently to the future, to the second part of the season, and I'm really convinced that we can make a good figure.
(…) And we hope for the title, that's what we want with all our heart and that's what we're working for. We are in a good position in the standings and we will shoot for this.

This helps everyone, us, the collective, the staff, everyone benefits from the arrival of quality players”, Alex Pop pointed out, before the Dynamo team's plane took off for Antalya.
“I know Vali Țicu from the national junior teams, he is a boy of character, a hard worker, and I am convinced that he will integrate very well. I did not know that he was a dynamist from a young age”, added Alex Pop, when asked by reporters about the only transfer signed so far by Andrei Nicolescu.
Alex Pop needed more than 8 months to score his first goal at Dinamo, scoring decisively in the “dogs” victory against U Cluj, 1-0, on August 23. Later, he “recurred” in the tie obtained at Craiova, when he equalized at two in the derby played at “Oblemenco”. He has, in total, 37 appearances in the red-white shirt and has also achieved two decisive assists.
