Alert on the Olt river. Two fishermen fell into the water, one is resuscitated by emergency crews
Two men fell into the Olt river, Friday morning, January 2, 2025, in the Dobroteasa area of Olt county. The first one who was brought to the shore showed vital signs, and in the meantime the second one was also recovered, for which resuscitation maneuvers are being performed.
The men, one aged 65, the other aged 28, both from Argeș County, were fishing, when the firemen were alerted that the two had fallen into the river and needed help.

“Crews from ISU Olt (Dobroteasa Work Point) and ISU Vâlcea (Drăgășani Detachment and Râmnicu Vâlcea Detachment), with two special vehicles for intervention and extrication, a special vehicle for first intervention, two motor boats and an SMURD ambulance, act to search and rescue two people who fell into the Olt river, in the Dobroteasa area. The diving teams from ISU Olt and ISU Vâlcea were also alerted. Three ambulances of the Ambulance Service are also acting in support of the firefighters”, announced the representatives of ISU Olt.
The rescuers who arrived first on the scene managed to save a 65-year-old man, who was brought to the shore with vital signs. The patient was transported to UPU Vâlcea. A few minutes later, the second person was found, the 28-year-old, unconscious, being taken over by the medical crews, who started resuscitation. According to preliminary data, the two were fishing with a boat.
