The driver of the car in which the boxer Anthony Joshua (36 years old) was during the tragic accident in Nigeria has been charged. Two close relatives of the British boxer have died following the accident on Monday, December 29.

Wednesday, December 31, Joshua was discharged from the Lagoon Hospital in Lagoswhere he was recovering from minor injuries, being considered clinically fit to go home.
“Anthony and his mother went to the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their last respects to the two deceased friends as they prepared for their repatriation scheduled for this evening,” said Ogun State Police Information Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso.
According to data from the Federal Road Safety Corps in the country, in 2024, 5,421 deaths were recorded in Nigeria following 9,570 road accidents. Statistics show that last year the number of victims was 340 higher compared to 2023.
